The One-Page Playbook
If the method cannot fit on a single page, it cannot be followed under stress. Write entries, invalidation, size, and stand-aside rules so a stranger could grade you.
A strategy that lives in a long document will not be present when the book is fast. SCUTA asks for one page because constraint is a feature: if a rule cannot be stated briefly, it will not be followed when you are down 1R and looking for a repair.
The page is not literature. It is an operations sheet.
The minimum viable method
Name the setup in words a tired person can apply. Define the invalidation as a price or a condition, not as a feeling. Fix the risk unit. State when you are closed for the day. That is already more process than most discretionary traders carry.
Stand-aside is a rule
“No trade when spread exceeds X” and “no trade in the first N minutes after a high-impact release” belong on the page. Students omit them because they want optionality. Optionality is how accounts leak.
Grade yourself
After the session, take the page and mark each trade as in-playbook or not. P&L is a later column. The Consistency Engine is built on the first column.
Questions we hear next
What must appear on the page?
Market and session, setup name, required conditions, invalidation, risk unit, daily stop, and the list of days you will not trade.
Can the playbook evolve?
Yes, on a schedule — weekly or after a fixed sample — not mid-session. Mid-session edits are how tilt writes policy.
How does this connect to the checklist tool?
The tool is the playbook in software. If the JSON and the page disagree, the page is wrong or the tool is stale. Reconcile them.
What if I have three setups?
Then you have three short pages or one page with three named blocks. Do not merge them into a fog that always permits a click.

Rules You Can Audit Afterward
A rule that cannot be checked after the session is a slogan. Build definitions that a second person — or your future self — could score without the P&L column.
Size Before Story
Position size is the first decision that can keep an account alive. Forecast quality is a later conversation — and a less important one than most students think.
Process Identity Over P&L Identity
If your self-worth tracks the day, you will manage the day instead of the rules. Build an identity around the work you can actually control.
