Descending Triangle
A coiling pattern with flat lower support and a declining upper trendline, typically resolving in a bearish breakdown.
A Descending Triangle shows horizontal support at the bottom being tested repeatedly, while the upper boundary makes lower highs — sellers are getting more aggressive.
The bearish bias derives from the lower highs. Confirmation is a close below the flat support. Target = pattern height projected downward from the breakdown.
Volume should dry up during the compression and surge on the breakdown. A throwback to broken support after the breakdown is common and often a better short-entry than the initial candle.
